All programs on this disk are not really copyright of
Quality Control but are,in fact, Shareware. We hope you will
acknowledge this and have the decency not to rip off anything or
try to make any profits from this disk.
For the program NUMPTY to function there should be two
other files to go with it, SCREENDATA and NUMPDATA. These should
be in the same directory as the program. This file NUMP.DOC should
also stay with the game.
CONTROLS:-
LEFT - ?
RIGHT - ?
FIRE - Jump and cancel jump when entering a new room.
(If you jump into a room and keep on dieing then
hold down fire to just drop into the room)
UP - Pick up or use the object in pocket 1.
DOWN - Pick up or use the object in pocket 2.
LEFTMOUSE BUTTON - Music Off/Fx On
RIGHTMOUSE BUTTON - Fx Off/Music On
Stand near chests to see what is in them. Stand in the place
you think an object should be used. If it is correct the you get the
message WELL DONE. Not all the objects have uses.
The game will end when you have 395 coins. There is a lame
attempt at a plot for all this in the scroll text.
This game was written in odd dribs and drabs over about 10 months
on the DEV PAC assembler. Needless to say I'm glad it's finally finished
and would appreciate any thing you might send to show you appreciation.
5 pounds, a nice letter or some source code that will draw lines with the
blitter or detect when two keys are pressed at once on the keyboard.
(I haven't had any luck at either of them, the book's I have don't
have examples for these or explain very well.) An offer of a programming
job would be nice. I could do a lot better than this if given the time.
At least this shows I have the will power to finish a product. If you send
at least 5 pounds you can get a map, hints, a room designer plus another
mystery but nice program.
This game was written because there is a definite lack of platform
games on the Amiga. As an aging Spectrum fan I wanted something Jet Set
Willyish for some nostalgia. I have just heard that a proper version is now
to be released for the Amiga! Lets hope they do it justice.
All complaints,praise,suggestions,money,job offers,etc
should be addressed to:-

Thank you for listening,
Gudger of Quality Control.
If somebody doesn't control it, it may get out of hand!
